Taking toddlers to the Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park

We stayed for a week in Pahoa on Hawai’i island. We really wanted to visit the Volcano national park and we had been waiting for ten months now to finally get here. The islands of Hawaii are all created by volcanic activity and here on Big Island you can still witness this creation. Over the course of a week we visited the park in total three times. When we researched for our trip we did find very little information on activities for toddlers, so here is our guide on taking young kids into the Volcano park. On the first day we were eager to do some hiking, so we checked out 2 short...

Snorkeling with sea turtles

We love seeing wild animals in their own habitat. Be it the large herds of elephants in a game park in South Africa or the frolicking dolphins in New Zealand. And since yesterday we can add one more species to the list as we snorkelled with green sea turtles in Hawaii. Yesterday we decided to go to Anini beach. This is a quiet and beautiful beach nearby and is known as one of the safest and most protected beaches in Kauai. Well we must have adjusted quickly to island time, as we just realised that we have been already on Hawaii for more than a week and we have not yet written any blog on this site.If you don’t, you might want to follow u as well on Facebook, as we do post more regular there. Anyway, today we uploaded our first batch of pictures and written this blog for our readers. A little over a week ago we arrived in Honolulu. The huge storm in Sydney did cause...

Top 15 things we liked in New Zealand

We have just arrived in Hawaii and New Zealand already start to feel as a distant memory. But we had such a great time there, so we decided to write a short summary and list our top 15 highlights for you. Maybe it will inspire other families. New Zealand is a great country to travel with young kids, especially if you like nature and outdoors. It is not a low budget country though, but for us it was well worth the money. We visited both the South Island and the North Island, we traveled for 5 weeks in a camper van and we stayed in a house for a couple of weeks on both islands. In 85 days we...
