This week we feel more like tourists than travellers. There are so many nice things to do in Cape Town that you almost must leave your apartment and go somewhere. If you want you could stay for three months here and still not be bored. So what things should you do in Cape Town with two young kids? First of course we went to Boulders beach. Boulders is famous for its colony of African penguins that you can see up-close. There is a nice visitors centre with a boardwalk along the beach allowing for fantastic views of penguins who come here to breed. But you can also walk a bit further and have...

This evening at 7 o’ clock we were all still playing in the pool and having great fun. The temperature was still around 25 degrees celcius and the sun was setting in the ocean. And then, Thursday morning we will start our journey and fly to South Africa. The country we so much love, we often call our second home and thus our first stop on this trip. The...

We just finished our first interview for a housesit! A few days ago we came across an advert on MindMyHouse for a housesit in April 2015 in New Zealand. This was exactly what we were looking for, so we replied quickly. Luckily we got a positive response and we found out that the house owner was in fact from The Netherlands, so there was an instant click. We set-up a Skype interview to introduce us further. We were a bit nervous as we did not know what to expect and we were trying not to get our hopes up high, as we had experienced that it is not easy to find a housesit with a family. But...
